Buono! - Gachinko de Ikou PV

The fourth video for Buono! is out. I’m a little sad though. This is their fourth PV, and Shugo Chara!, the anime that the unit and songs are for, only have so many episodes left. :( Buono! is definately one of the best units ever formed out of H!P girls. Something about these three make them a winning combination. I hope UFA and H!P are smart enough to keep these girls together even after Shugo Chara! ends.

This video has a very different feel than the other PVs. One of the first things I noticed is the lineup. Usually, it’s Airi, Miyabi, then Momoko. In this PV, the order is switched. Momoko has now taken the middle space, aka the focal point. And Miyabi has shifted to the right. I assume this is because in the previous three PVs, she always has the visual lead. In Hontou no Jibun - she is the cutey sleeping in class. In Renai♥Rider, she is the one who gets stuck with the tricycle and has to run the rest of the way. In Kiss!Kiss!Kiss! - she’s totally the boke, playing the Drumstick Harmonica, and reading the Bunny Shaped book. Haha. Adorable. I think this is definately what changed her position. And this video is no different. She takes the lead in all the visual situations, except for when they’re playing around with the other people not in Buono!. The video starts out with the girls in a smokey basement, looking at a set of Jenga. Then, it moves right into the dancing. The girls all look cute here, and they’re bold clothing has a nice contrast with the muted whiteish background. It moves into the girls then playing around a room, where other non H!P people are present, playing instruments. After some switching between the scenes I mentioned, it goes to them playing cards in the smokey basement. Momoko shifts one of her cards up, when we visit this scene again, Miyabi takes that card. OHNOES it’s the Joker. Momoko jumps for joy, Airi keeps a serious look, and they highfive. Then..I have no idea why, but a mosquito comes in and bites Momoko on the leg, she smacks it and it dies, and she scratches her leg..I have no idea what’s happening from that point. XD The go into a room and throw darts onto a spinning board. Airi doesn’t like what she hits, Miyabi seems not happy not sad. And Momoko is ecstatic about what she got. But Momoko always looks like that. They eventually go back to Jenga. And they actually play for a good amount of time. Is it a surprise that at the end of the Jenga game, Momoko lost? Haha. They also eventually get to the game where you put in the pieces to the barrel, and if you’re the one that causes the head to launch out you lose. That game has now shown up in this video, in the Hello Egg concert, and in a DohhhUP video with Reina.

Airi is usually seen as a cuter member of her group and units. Though, in this PV, she is shown as the serious one during their games in the smokey basement. When she’s playing around with the live band, she looks cuter, but still like she’s being reserved. She shines the most in the up close shots, when she’s wearing the yellow tie. Did anyone else get like, a total flashback of Mr. Moonlight ~ Ai no Big Band? She totally had the suit, the tie and the hair to be in that PV. Haha. So, she wins the up close shot. What cemented it though, is in the lyric t hey say Hyaku, which is Japanese for 100. She puts her hand up, with one finger, and with the other, makes it a 0, and moves it to the side. TOO CUTE. omg. So, it looks like this 1 ->0->0.

Momoko is definately the one I noticed most throughout their game playing scenes. She has a problem. She can NOT look cute EVER. Despite being the oldest, she has that youth charm. She will always be the youngest oldest member of any group she’s in, if you understand what I mean. :P She has that face made for an Idol. Satoda Mai has said this before, I believe. She has really good movement, in terms of dancing. It all seems so fluid for her, and natural too. Her smile can suck you in, because it’s not there. And you notice her even MORE when she’s not smiling. That’s a gift, let me tell ya.

Miyabi is definately the most beautiful in this PV. She captures me the most during the dancing scenes. With her long hair let down, and the cute way she wears the glasses. She has that Yankee quality that I love. With her clothing and the way she presents herself. She is one of few H!P Kids who I think will make it far as a solo artist, as long as she does things like Old Ayaya, and not New Ayaya, with all the ballads. I’m still looking for her to be in the middle, that’s how much I’ve gotten used to seeing her as the focal point.

In conclusion, this is a very good PV. It is not my favorite, but I still love it. :)

Mooningu Musume Singuru Daizenshuu!!

So. It’s been a long time that a Morning Musume only concert has really caught my attention, and made me watch it over and over.

Morning Musume’s 2008 Spring concert has certainly done it. It’s amazing. Probably one of my favorite concerts of all time. Almost the entire lineup were really on their game during this finale. And I’m so glad that Youtube has the High Quality feature. omg. I figured I’d do my first ever CONCERT REVIEW. HOMANZ. I’m gonna skip the MC stuff. Because I still can’t 100% comprehend all that’s going on, so, anything that’s funny, I’m not really getting.

01. The OPENING

  • The opening in this concert was nice. I’m glad they jumped right to their newest single. Though what’s great is how they actually came in. Koharu and Ai come in first. Koharu is looking pretty tired. But Ai looks amazing. They should’ve picked someone a little taller to go with Koharu. Second up is Reina and Sayumi. Reina looks pretty fierce, and Sayumi looks very cute. I would’ve switched which sides the were standing though. Eri and Risa are next. And they are smoking omg. Eri always has that kind of sly smile. Very cute. And Risa looked HOT. Her hair, her stance, everything. And when she lifted her head to the beat of the music. Jesus Chris. She is amazing. She melts my heart. Love her forever. Linlin and Junjun appear next. Linlin tries to show a little flair and charm, and it’s sort of working for her. Junjun looks nervous or tired, I can’ tell, but she’s just so damn beautiful it doesn’t matter! And finally, Aika. She’s bringing in that Resonant Blue charisma. She’s looking cute at the same time too!

02. Resonant Blue

  •  Aika starts off with that awesome point thing. I love that! It’s a great way to start the dance. The song goes pretty smoothly. The girls all show awesome charisma. They could charm the meanest of misers, yessir. There is this shot of Junjun during one of her ‘Uh’s, and she looks awesome. So hot. I would say this was a pretty good start for the concert. There are just a few things that bug me about the way it was sung. Reina’s first “tasukete dare ka” was kind of awkward. That, and when Koharu says help me, it sounds like she’s trying to sound like a man. That’s her problem though. From a visual standpoint, Junjun and Risa own this performance.

03. Onna ni Sachi Are

  • This was okay. I can’t fucking stand the way Koharu sings though. CHRIST. “ni.a.u.waaw.” From her first solo line. Ai’s solo parts were very nice. For some reason, Eri seems a little winded during hers. What’s amazing is Junjun and Linlin’s solos! Junjun sounds so good, and Linlin manages no to annoy me! The dancing seemed a little lax, but I bet they were a little tired from the previous performance. I would give this an average rating.

04. Egao YES Nude 

  • I love this song, so, I’m a little biased towards the performance. The dancing seemed a little stiff, but with the moves they were doing it’s hard not to be. I love how Risa said ‘black berry’. homg. This is the first perfomance where Sayumi has a solo. She is improving a lot, and it’s good to see that people are recognizing that. The perfomance was fantastic. I would say that probably giving someone with deeper voices for Yossi and Miki’s parts would’ve been a good idea. But I liked it the same.

05. Irropoi Jirettai

  •  When Eri breathes deep, it’s kind of sexy. Haha. Usually, when Momusu performs Irropoi Jirettai live, I’m a little disappointed. But  during this performance, I was pleasantly surprised. They rocked it. Their movements were extremely fluid. Koharu danced well, but she just can’t sing. It’s like, not possible. “atsuuui koh-do.wo noh”. blargh. It’s cool to see this new lineup for the song. I think this song really suits the 8th generation. It’s weird not seeing Konno and Ogawa though! I hope they do some sort of duo in the future, but that’s besides the point. This performance was lovely. And now I’m listening to the song on my iTunes. :P

06. Osaka Koi no Uta

  • This song always throws me off, because of the Osaka dialect. Yossi’s opening lines are done by Aika. I would’ve picked someone with a more..er..pleasant voice. Like say Risa or Junjun. I hear their voices being the more appropriate for the opening line. But Aika still did good. Eri did a good job with Rika’s lines. Risa always sings with such passion. She’s great to watch perform. Throughout the whole song, Reina just sounds weird. Like she’s trying to stand out, or is having trouble controlling her voice. :\ Junjun is lucky she’s tall, she stands out during the dances. And she has such a fierceness about her that just pops. I thought Sayumi looked pretty good during the performance.

07. Kanashimi Twilight

  • I love this single. But it’s weird when Yossi is not in it. Still enjoyable. My only complaint is that Reina got Miki’s part in the beginning. It should’ve been Risa. Risa had like, no lines in this song. :( The dancing was great though. ..and..shockingly..Koharu did pretty good. But I think that’s because she didn’t have any solos. I loved when Eri sang her solo part. It had a powerful feel. This was a short performance, but it was really good. Visual goes to Eri and Risa, and Junjun when dancing. Vocals went to Eri and Ai.

08. Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii Jan

  • This song. Not the best in the lineup. The vocals were pretty shaky, and the dancing wasn’t really fantastic. It all looks too busy. But that’s held true since they came out with the single. The only saving portions of this performance were Risa’s “IKUZE HEY HEY HEY etc”. So adorable. That, and there were a lot of shots of Junjun. This should’ve been put into some sort of medley or something. Not featured as a whole performance.

09. ~ ROMAN ~ My Dear Boy

  • Damnit. Ai is so freaking sweaty!l I can’t tell if it’s because she works hard, or if she has the Charmy Kemeko problem. :P Risa looks and sounds so natural throughout this song. It’s fantastic. I’m glad they gave her one of the mains instead of say, Eri or Koharu. As I go through these songs, I realize more and more that Linlin is basically no where to be seen or heard. :\ She sort of needs more exposure. I would say that in a poll, she would probably rank lowest with most wota.

10. Do It! Now

  • This is the first solo performance, belong to Ai. She does a fantastic job of course. Though, I wish this wasn’t a mostly-solo performance. I would’ve made this a group performance from the start, and made Osaka Koi no Uta her solo. Since we know she can do it so well. She touches her face a lot, I’m noticing. D: Ai has this impeccable talent of connecting visually with the viewers and members of the audience. She sort of draws your eyes in. When she goes solo, which you know eventually she will, she should sing this as a cover. I would say very impressive. Which it was. :P

11. Mr. Moonlight ~ Ai no Big Band

  • This is virtually just another Ai solo, with her Ai-ettes. :P Though, I love that they had Risa do the opening ‘Ai wo kudasaiiii~” So nostalgic! They make an outfit change during this song. They’re not wearing their merchandise colors. I love when they do that. I’m the kind of person who likes to organize colored pencils and crayons and stuff. So when things are color coordinated, I love it! Ai did amazing. She could’ve done the whole song by herself probably and rocked the shit out of it.

12. Furusato

  • Here is the second solo perfomance. Surprisingly, by Sayumi. There is a lot of buzz right now about the performance. A lot of people are saying that they love how she has improved, and a few people here and there saying, “well, yeah, she’s improved, but she’s still not good.” I would disagree. It thought her perfomance was amazing. I wish they’d stop giving her so many hair accessories though. It’s too much. What surprised me was how well she could hold a note! Especially at a higher pitch. She did a great job not to sound shrill. Something I assure you Koharu could not do. We’ve all seen the video of her singing Furusato, and it was gross. Just gross. So, I can’t wait to see if Tsunku will listen to her request and give her more singing parts in song. :)

13. Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago

  • The next solo performance is by the lovely Eri. Of the three solo performances from the 6th generation, this one is my favorite. I love the way she sings. And she’s looking beautiful. Her outfit is kind of weird, in terms of the contrasting colors, but I like the way it looks in terms of the shape. Her way of singing, “kikareta waaaa~” was beautiful. She should have this on like, a Best Of dvd if she doesn’t already. Keep up the good work Eri! She, like Risa, needs many more singing parts and leads.

14. Memory Seishun no Hikari

  • This is one of my most favorite Momusu singles. When I heard Reina was singing it as a solo, I was excited. I saw the video of her singing it in the Ferris Wheel, and I love that version. Though, this was pretty lack luster. If you haven’t noticed while watching this concert, she does this thing with her upper lip, she puts it over her bottom lip, to make herself look sad and innocent. It bugs the shit out of me. The only part of this performance I liked was at the very end, the ‘goodbye’. It ended really well.

15. Manatsu no Kousen

  • I had mixed feelings when I read that Risa would be singing this as a solo, instead of something else. But I have to say, this is one of my favorite performances of the night! All the green! Risa is one of the girls who I think could’ve been a 1st generation girl. I can’t wait for her to go solo. When I buy H!P music, I always just buy it on iTunes. But when she goes solo, I will buy all the versions of her CDs. I can’t wait for her to be leader, too. When Ai leaves, I think they’ll keep Risa in Momusu, and she’ll lead concerts like this. She’s a great MC, a fantastic singer and dancer, and an all around entertainer. She seems the most natural throughout this concert. It’s nice to see Ai and Reina being her backup. Haha~

16. AS FOR ONE DAY

  • Sayumi needs to have any speaking part by any other member who is not Rika. Rika should always be covered by Eri. This performance was fantastic! It starts with that awesome Risa Eric combo, with Risa singing more. The dancing was pretty great too. What’s nice about this song too, is that we see a nice charismatic view of Linlin a few times. Welcome back Linlin! JUNJUN AND LINLIN GET SOLOS. HOLY SHIT. They did so effing good. Junjun has the voice for more balladesque songs, I feel. Junjun and Risa need to do this song together, as a duo. This song ends with Eri being lovely and singing lovely. Very good performance. VERYVERY Good.

17. Summer Night Town

  • This isn’t my most favorite single. But I think I like the way the voices are in this concert version, versus the original. Koharu and he 8th generation get those quick short bits, and they sound pretty good. The harmony in this song was great! Especially during the “Daikirai” parts. It was awfully short though. :\ Which is probably a smart thing. It gives them a nice little break I suppose. For the shortness of the performance, they did lovely. :) 

18. Morning Musume no Hyokkori Hyoutanjima

  • Not a lot to say about this. Except it should’ve been 8th generation only. Koharu really made it sucked. She’s so fake. I was afraid that Linlin was going to do that cutesy voice she does. And Aika might’ve followed suit. But they didn’t, bless their hearts. The opening should’ve been done by either Junjun or Linlin. Didn’t I read that they’re both pretty good at English? Or was I mistaken? All aside though, the performance wasn’t say awful. I always liked this song. But it needs all the older members.

19. Morning Coffee

  • One of my favorite singles. They could’ve done without Reina though. She sang too cutesy for the song. Eri did just enough cuteness. Sayumi impressed me again. She can now keep up with her senpai. I think that Risa rocked this. She’s had a lot of practice with the Tanjou Kinentai though. This song just makes me think more that Risa could’ve been there right along Iida and Nakazawa. This song makes me think that Morning Musume is sort of going through another evolution, like when the 4th generation was added to the roster. They just seem to keep getting better.

20. MEDLEY - Daite! Hold on Me

  • I loved this part! So cute! That’s all. :P

21. MEDLEY - Chokkan 2 ~ Nogashita Saka wa Ookiizo!

  • I love when they mix this song. It’s fun! And for a coupling song, it’s pretty fun. The dance mix with Sexy Boy is cute too.

22. MEDLEY - SEXY BOY ~ Soyokaze ni Yorisotte

  • I thought their performance during this song was grand as well. But I always loved that parapara dance they doing during the ‘chimatta de uwasa no SEXY BOY’ part.

23. MEDLEY - Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari

  • WHYYYYYY was there only one verse? WTF. They should’ve done the whole gamut! The dance is always fun to watch though. Ai seemed excited that it was her verse though. Haha~

24. MEDLEY - GO GIRL ~ Koi no Victory

  • I love this single. Forever and ever. But the dance is what wins me each time. It’s so parapara it killlzzzz me. It’s too cute. It gives me diabetes from the sugary sweetness! This song always makes me appreciate how much effort it takes into singing and dancing at the same time. And being able to coordinate it on a multilevel stage like this one during Single Daizenshuu. There are a lot of shots of Junjun, Linlin, and Aika during this performance. This one must make them tired, but you can’t even tell.

00. SPECIAL NOTE - MC

  • I know I said wasn’t going to cover any MC’s. but. omg. The MC with Risa, Kamei, Junjun and Linlin was amazing! It was adorable! I couldn’t understand anything that was in Chinese, but it was adorable. Junjun and Linlin, omg, both are totally boke. Haha. 

25. THE Manpower!

  • The intro to this performance was pretty neat I thought. The weird techno music just seamlessly broke into that donkdonk sound of Manpower. They do another drastic outfit change here too, but they KEEP the color coding. Whoot. This was pretty good on everyones part. You could tell Eri was channeling Miki with the way she was singing. The dancing was pretty great too. This was probably one of the better performances. Risa kept her note at the end there too. GOD I LOV HER OMG. This was a very fluid performance. I hope they monitored their performance afterwards. Because the way that this song went was how they should be keeping their standards.

26. Shabondama

  • This is a song that people expect a lot from. Risa delivered. Ai delivered. Reina..er..half delivered. Eri delivered. The rest weren’t really given a chance to shine. This song has one of the worst parts of the entire concert. “Naite sumunurra, nakeeyagurree etc” by Koharu. It’s just awful! And she does it everytime! If the rest of Momusu are really her friends, they would tell her that she’s making herself look like a freaking retard. I feel bad for her..almost. No, not really. She deserves my harsh words. XD LINLIN got an ‘AI~’ solo. haha. For those who delivered, they saved this song, for those who didn’t COUGHKOHARUCOUGH, they can cause ear bleeding concussions. Probably self-induced.

27. MEDLEY - I WISH

  • Aika did such a good job! So did the pandas. Very very good. This isn’t a song that I’d put into a Medley though. This is something I’d rather have close if not at the end of the concert. Especially a sotsugyou. For the most part, all the musume did an excellent job during this song. Especially Hachi-ki. I’m hoping on the next CD the 8th Generation have a few songs to themselves only. And I hope it’s something like this song. Eri and Sayumi seemed a little strange when they sang together, but they pulled it together.
28. MEDLEY - Happy Summer Wedding 

  • This was pretty good too! Risa’s Warrachou! was too cute. It almost sounded angry. ANDAND..Junjun’s hohoho~. Too awesome! Reina has FINALLY lost that squeeky Irropoi voice she usually uses, and sounds semi-normal. You know..for Reina. This is definately a medley song though. Even though it’s totally cute and adorable. It’s nice that everyone got some facetime during this part too.

29. MEDLEY - Koi no Dance Site

  • The dancing made me soooo happy. It seems at this point the girls are just having fun. And it shows. Haha. Sayumi’s “nyao!” and Eri’s “SEXY BEEEEEAM” were great! I think either Eri or Risa should always do the Sexy Beam. But Risa should probably do the MAYUGE BEAM! instead. Haha. Koharu did that very cute thing with her arms. I’m surprised I thought something she did was cute. OH LAWD. The APOCALYPSE.

30. MEDLEY - Souda! We’re ALIVE

  • The beginning transition was kind of cool, I guess. You can really hear Risa’s voice sticking out more than anyone elses. This is also a song I’d put in a Medley. Junjun’s “KAMONah” was cute. The freeze thing they do is always cool too. I think Aika needs some more lessons on that. Yaguchi was always the best at it. When they transition into the “we’re alive” portion of the song it’s really pretty how the dance is in unison.

31. MEDLEY - The✩Peace!

  • AAH! The outfit change was so cool! Momusu’s efforts are really starting to show. That was such an awesome addition. It’s not necessary at all, but it just shows that Momusu will always take steps to be fresh with what they do. I know I’m making a big deal out of nothing, but it was really cool. I hope they keep doing quick change shit like that in the future too. Eri’s “minamou isshou ni PIISUPIISU” was too cute. It made me whoot.

32. MEDLEY - Renai Revolution 21

  • Why would they put this into a Medley? It’s extremely popular! It ranks right up there was I WISH and Love Machine. :o I assume it’s because for anything previous to Mr Moonlight, none of the original singers are remaining in Momusu. So, maybe their trying to just push their generation. This was a really good performance too. Aika’s “hoi!” was cute. The dancing in this song must wear them out! Especially that round arm wave. That must take the breath out of you. That bouncing at the end must hurt their poor pretty sexy awesome knees too. :o
33. Koko ni Iruzee!
  • I love this song, and this performance. It wasn’t the best by far, but it’s just so entertaining that you can’t not love it. They’re all sweating, and having a fun looking time. I bet the audience liked this one. I wonder if Tsunku tells them to just go apeshit during this one. Ai got a little excited it seemed like at the end. It was like Rarararararrrrrrrjrjrrhrh singsingsing. haha. It was cool though. They definately chose the right musume for the “Harikitte ikimashou!” Aika did a good job keeping it similar to the original. I like that there is choreography is mixed with free movement. It helps keep my attention. Haha.
34. Mikan
  • I like Mikan the single. And this performance was pretty good too. It seems like their still feeding off the Koko ni Iruzee! excitement still too. With all the “fu!”s and “whoo!”s. Haha. What impresses me is that this is song 34 that they’ve sang. And they are still keeping control of the vocals. They don’t sound tired. They look tired by now, of course. :P Sweaty and saggyish eyes. But the vocals are still keeping a real good quality and a good energy. God bless these girls, they’re tough. I probably would’ve dispersed Mikan somewhere earlier in the concert though. Maybe before one of the earlier medleys.
35. Aruieteru
  • “Naru sa.ow.” Koharu. Please, stop putting OW at the end of every verse you sing. I’m one of the few people in the world who don’t really like love this single. I like it okay, but it’s not as special as anything else. I realize though that I like listening and watching it live, more than the song or pv. It’s a pretty song, and when Momusu is live, it shows their charms. I wish they would’ve given Risa the solos instead of Sayumi. Sayumi did a good job. She’s starting to waver just a little bit, but it’s still really enjoyable to listen to her sing.

36. Ai Araba IT’S ALL RIGHT

  • I think that this is a good ending song for a concert. The feel is so warm and happy, it leaves me with a good feeling. Their shirts are really cute in this performance. I want a Risa shirt. haha. Though, what the hell is with those feather things on their hips? WTH. This is also like, a really good performance. Junjun and Linlin got solos, and the rocked them.

37. LOVE Machine

  • This is like, the best song to end on, tied with I WISH. The song that made Morning Musume more famous than like ANYTHING.  It looks like the girls are having fun in this one too, rather than just performing. I think the lines that they gave to all the girls were appropriate too. Definately ranks up there as one of the best performances for the evening. There is at this one point where Koharu does this weird marching shit, but it didn’t bother me that much. I wonder if this is the first song that new members learn? It must be, it’s like their legacy. The dancing was really good too! Especially tha egyptian walking part. I always loved that. When Aika said Love Machine, she had the cuuuuuutest look on her face! It was adorable. I just wish that Junjun would’ve had more parts in the song. Overall, this was a grand performance.

AI
What can you say about Ai? She is always amazing in concerts. Which is why you see and hear her more than any other Musume. She is definately tied for 1st place for vocals in the group, and you can always see the hard work and effort she puts up. She needs to stop touching her face that much, and learn how to growl less aggressively. But other than that, she’s an ace.
RISA
Risa is my favorite Musume of all time. And I think this concert shows why. She has the most amazing voice, the best dance moves, and the greatest beauty of the group. She will go far in the idoling world, I know it. I just wish that Tsunku will realize that he’s sitting on gold right there. One day, she will be the leader. And she will continue to rock these concerts. I really can’t say anything bad. She was the queen of this concert.
ERI
Eri. I love you. Don’t tire yourself out too quickly, because your voice shows that more than any other Musume. Please keep singing like you do, especially Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago. You will go solo one day, and we will still love you. :)
SAYUMI
Wow. That’s all I can say. Sayumi has improved more than any musume I can think of. During her Furusato performance, I was stunned at how she was holding her notes with no quiver or wavering. It was great for a girl who can hardly sing, right?
REINA
This was not really Reina’s night. She was great, of course, but I just don’t think it compares to her other concert performances. Tsunku called Reina the perfect Musume. But I wonder if he actually listened to this concert? Reina, pick a voice and stick with it. I love your hair though.
KOHARU.
I just find it hard to like this girl. She has a horrible singing voice, she cannot pronounce Japanese correctly, and she comes off as sot of fake. This is something that really turns me off as a viewer. I always wonder, if Koharu is no longer part of Morning Musume, will I be torn up? Probably not. Since she has Kirarin, she’ll have steady work I guess. :P

Well. I called this one. This PV and song totally suck. Koharu sounds like someone is squeezing air out of a dying animal. What happened, Koharu? Balalaika was amazing! WHAT HAPPENED? D: The ONLY saving factor in this video is that there were pancakes. But that is it, seriously yo. Did Tsunku even LISTEN to the single? I don’t think so! Either that, or he has faith in the wota that they’ll just BUY the single because Koharu sings it. Ugh. It’s awful. Such is Koharu. A big stinky fake mess.

The sound she emits when she sings, it’s awful! Please take this video below as proof. At 2:09, listen to Koharu. Naakeeyagaruyeeeee!~! XD it’s funny as shit, I swear.

Everyone else who sang was awesome. I think instead of Koharu, Kamei should’ve been given this Anime roll. By the way, how hot were Niigaki and Kamei in the Bon Kyu concert?

Todays Ramblings

I’ve been thinking about Goto Maki goint to Avex a lot recently. I sort of have mixed feelings. I do hope that she does well, and I’m quite sure she will. Goto Maki has a big name in JPop. My fear is that if she becomes successful, and then other big names in H!P will jump off the Ship to the Future and join up with AVEX. Prime candidate being Matsuura Aya. Ayaya is, even more so than Gomaki, the best talent that H!P has to offer. She not only is pitch perfect, but she has such an amazing presence. And, er, well, she’s an actual artist, and not an Idol. There are only a few people in H!P who could call themselves true artists. Most of them are born idols. Nacchi, for instance, is pretty much perfect for H!P, as she’s more of an Idol than an artist, I think. I could see Koda Kumi, TVXQ, Gomaki, and Ayaya on the same stage. But I couldn’t see Nacchi in any part of that little roundup. Goto’s transformation is quite shocking, I think. She has come a long way since this. This is the kind of transformation that I can’t see people like Nacchi and Shibata having.

But in the same sense, I sort of hope that some H!P artists would find new bigger agencies, like AVEX or something. People like Ayaya and some Musume would do good I suppose. I would like to see at least one real music video from H!P. The ones they’ve been pumping out, (save Resonant Blue and C/C) are kind of crappy. It seems like they don’t want to actually spend the freaking yen to make something that’s memorable. I think out of all the groups and units in H!P, the people who get the best PVs are Anime associated groups like Buono! and Kirarin whatever. GAM had some of the best PV’s. LU LU LU and Melodies were lovely. °C-ute is starting to get some nicer PV’s too. Tokkaiko Junjou was pretty nice, at least.

That’s the thing about other artists in JPop. It seems like ALL of them have these really nice and professional looking PVs. Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki, etc, all very nice. It exudes expensive.

I GUARANTEE that Maki’s new NAILS cost more than most Momusu PVs. All in all though, I’m sure Maki will do very good. I just hope AVEX doesn’t steal all the good talent away from H!P. My fandom itself lies with H!P as a whole, and I want to keep my reasons for liking it. Haha~

Pikkurishita! Saave no Bikkuri!~

1. You have found a magical J-pop genie who will grant you one J-pop related wish (so no wishing for a million dollars or world peace or anything like that). It can be virtually anything as long as it’s directly related to J-pop, and don’t worry, because this is the nice sort of genie, not the kind who will try to find a loop-hole and screw up your wish. So, what do you wish for???

2. Is there any J-pop artist or group who seriously pisses you off? If yes, who, and why?
Honestly? The only one who really pisses me off is Koharu. Though, she’s not really a J-Pop artist, more so a J-Pop idol. Everything about her seems to exude the aura of a disingenuous personality.

3. Who do you think is the sexiest japanese singer out there?
Aah~ the Sexiest? Even though she’s not a singer anymore, Kimura/Nagate Ayaka was and is extremely sexy. She has the most beautiful face, omg. 

4. How about the cutest?
Niigaki Risa. Definately. (pouty girl lips! whoot) 

5. Best personality?
Before seeing some videos from the Hollywood Bowl, I would’ve said Xiah Junsu from DBSK/Tohoshinki. In Japan, he is known for being funny and telling these Old Man jokes. But after seeing some videos, it makes me think that this might be a show as well, he was very standoffish to fans. But, if we’re talking H!P, probably Junjun. She’s so funny~! 

6. If given the opportunity, would you rather date person 3, person 4, or person 5?
4. THEN I’D ASK HER TO MARRY ME AND I KNOW SHE’D SAY YES. And then I’d make her Monjya Yaki all the time and we’d live in a cozy Tokyo apartment and live happily ever after, her being the Idol and bringing home the dough and me staying at home with the kids and listening to her sing Koe on HPH. If it didn’t work out between us, me and Ayaka could date. XD I’d let her give me tours around Japan in English, and I’d act all dumb to show her my charms. :P

7. You work for a Japanese music magazine, and you have the opportunity to interview your favorite artist or group. What are a couple of the questions you want to ask them?
I would definately ask Morning Musume about their thoughts on their American Fans, and if they would go to my blog. XD I’d ask about how they feel about Tsunku’s wanting to expand towards the rest of the Asian market, and how they feel about their competition doing the same, ie SNSD DBSK Super Junior etc. I’d ask them as well how they feel about the Aibon and Gomaki stuff. I wonder if they keep in touch?

8. What’s the best (J-pop) song to listen to when you are really sad?
Recently, it’s either Doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimattan darou? by DBSK. It’s really beautiful, but in a sad way. A beautiful sadness, I think is what I mean. The main chorus is sort of hard for me to word out, but after like an hour of nonstop singing it, I have it down pretty set.

9. When you’re really happy?
Sono Bamen De Bibichaikenaijan!, the coupling track to Resonant Blue. This should’ve been a single, instead of Mikan I think. It would’ve done well, it has such high energy!

10. Do you often sing along to your favorite songs?
Everytime I hear them I suppose. It drives my family nuts, they don’t share the love of H!P and Jpop that I do. And when I sing in Japanese, their usual reaction is “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING?” But I use the music to help with my technical learning of Japanese and Japanese pronunciations. So, they can deal with it.

11. How about dance?
Haha. Well, I don’t go as far as to dance to the music. :P Though I sometimes do the SEXY BOY dance, when they go “Chimata de uwasa no SEXY ue ue~” ohoho~ And at work, I’ll do the “Chiicha na” dance too. ;) And once at the movie theaters I did the Tell Me dance. XD

12. Artistic integrity question!! If someone offerrered to pay you for blogging, but they were allowed to censor some of your opinions or veto some of your blogging ideas, would you do it?
Well, honestly, if they were paying me, it could go either yes or no. I’d probably do it if it was a company that had the same sort of values and ideas as me. A little censoring would be okay, as long as they didn’t actually tell me to CHANGE my ideas. If they were paying me for a job, then I’d try to accomodate them as much as possible, and hopefully vice versa as well.

Berryz Koubou Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance PV

Dohhhup has put the PV up for Berryz Koubou’s new single, Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance. This is Berryz 17th single, which will be released on July 9th, 2008.

This is a nice single. I think this is probably a direction that Berryz should be taking. The PV for Dschinghis Khan was popular, I believe, because it looked like they had actual fun, and it wasn’t just an act or something. They were able to show their personalities. Especially Chinami. This PV still features Momoko, Risako, and Miyabi as the centers, but it gives a lot of airtime to the other Berryz as well. What’s not surprising is that Chinami again stole the show, but what IS surprising is that Maasa is on the same level as Chinami in this video. She is so cute, and she looks so young! Yurina used to be my favorite Berry, but she just doesn’t strike the same chord with me as she used to. For being the tallest, she still kind of fades into the background. I love her voice still though. Very pleasant.

This song is one that at first I was like, “meh.” But as I continue to listen to it, it’s really growing on me. Especially the “tikitikitiki~” part. Ohoho, very cool. Their outfits with the blue background are very cool. Though, I think the Monkey Suits were a bad idea. I’d rather have seen some cute trendy monkeys, maybe the same outfits they were wearing, except orange and brown with monkey ears and cute monkey tails. I should really be added to Hello!Project’s image consultation for foreign fans. XD Overall, I would say that this will be good for Berryz. A song that the younger can dance to, and that the older will bop their heads too. And anything with Chinami shining will be awesome of course. T-T

I have been away for a while! I completely forgot about Mayuge Beam!. Sorrysorrysorry~

I’ll do a real post now, then!

Berryz Koubou will release their 5th studio album on September 10th. Ever since VERY BEAUTY, I have started to like Berryz more. Especially Chinami. I think she’s my favorite. And Dschinghis Khan is now my alltime favorite single of theirs, with VERY BEAUTY and SPECIAL GENERATION coming in a close second. They are also going to release a new single titled Dschinghis Khan Onkochishin Remix which is apparently just a remix of their last single. I’ve been hearing that it will be sort of combined with the original version. This seems kind of lame, but Tsunku hit a good note when he gave this single to Berryz. So I’m wondering if he’s just trying to ride it’s success. SharanQ did do a cover of both Morning Musume’s Aruiteru and Resonant Blue. So, Tsunku is a big fan of riding coat tails when he can, apparently. I am excited to hear it, and I hope there is another PV too. Where Chinami will undoubtedly steal the spotlight again. <3<3

The Official Hello!Project website updated her Artist Page and Photo with a new one of her in a new, quite ugly, purple and orange dress. I have really low expectations for this single. All the solo stuff she’s done has been pretty crappy since Balalaika. When KIRA✩PIKA started, I had hopes for her. I thought eventually I might even learn to like her. But after K✩P stopped, all was downhill for her. When MilkyWay started, I just realized how much I’d rather have Yuu-chan in Momusu, rather than Krapumi. I’m sorry to all “Miracle-chan” fans, but she just bugs the crap out of me. She’s basically just eye candy/candidate for fanfic rape for Wota. She can’t sing, her acting is subpar. Her voice is okay, as long as you don’t have to actually watch her talk. Which makes Seiyuu work great for her. Just, why couldn’t they find a part for her where she didn’t have to sing? D:

While reading TotallyHello! Project, it was reported that Yaguchi Mari also received a new artist picture. With her though, quite the opposite is happening than with Kushutthefuckup. She looks beautiful. Her eyes always get bigger as she gets older. :o She almost looks too pretty, almost fake. I hope she returns to the Idoling world. We need more Yaguchi. T-T I’m hoping that with the return of Ogawa Makoto, there will be more of a chance for Yaguchin to have a more active role in H!P, rather than just being an MC at H!P concerts. She needs a slot like Berikyuu or something. And a single where she dances~

MAYUGE BIIIIIMU~

Hi. My name is James, and from today I’ll be starting a Hello!Project Fan Blog. One that I will actually keep up with. It’s called Mayuge Beam! since Niigaki Risa is my favorite H!P Member, and that’s her trademark beam. I figured I’d start with American Wota’s Hello!Project Ranker.I’m not surprised by most of the results. I knew that Niigaki and Ayaka would be the top two, as they’re the best! And I knew Koharu would be last, because I just don’t like her.
