I haven’t met anybody in person yet who likes Momusu as much as I do. It’s sad. BUT THEY HAVE A WHOLE FUCKING CLUB. I am so jealous! XD

SUKI SUKI SUKIIIIIIII.

This is C-ute’s cute new PV for they’re new single, Campus Life ~Umareta Kita Yokatta~.

This is like 4 billion times better than SHOCK. Because SHOCK sucked, and not just because Airi was the only one who sang solo. That being said, it’s still not as great as it could be. The PV is super cute, and it gives a lot of face time to each girl. And it seems real! In the closeups, those bleacher things in the background? Is this the same location as Shouganai Yume Oibito?

I think the song is cute, which is obviously fitting for the group who sings it. I think my favorite parts are the very first line of the chorus, and Airi’s solo. Which is a shock to me, as I tend to find Airi’s voice supah annoying when se’s not singing live. I have a feeling that when singing this live, it won’t really sound good, save a couple of parts.

The outfits in the PV are great too. Normal, and Idol-y. A good mix. I think the pink and yellow outfits are WAY better than the ones they wore for the album PV, the song name escapes me now(which is okay because it sucked). It reminds me of Sakura Chirari and makes me happy! I wish I was seeing Erika in that outfit though.

The dance is, again, cute. It doesn’t have a lot of confusing elements, so I think Wota will like it and will be easily imitated. They put in moves that let the girls hair fly, which I lurve.

Maimi looks lovely like always. The short hair is growing on me. She looks so much like Abe Natsumi it’s crazy! Also, she looks like IceCreamusume’s leader, ShenShen! Those three should definitely form a unit of short hair vocalists. It could be called “Bob” or something haha. Her voice in this song though, not sure what’s going on. At first she sounded like she was forcing cute to come out. I think her live singing voice is better than this.

Nakky is definitely starting to become her own little lady. I always forget she’s the 2nd oldest now. Her voice is very high pitched, which grates on me but now I’m starting to get used to it. Or rather get used to her. In Guardians4 she also has the highpitched voice so I think I can see now how it fits in to the group dynamic. She is very pretty, and has that moreso cool character, vs say – Chisato who is very ^-^.

Airi is pretty sings well dances well etc. Not a lot new. She takes the lead and is good. Though I shouldn’t put that in negative connotation. She has incredible vocals for someone her age and she does command a presence. But I assume since she’s not done anything new with C-ute she just falls into that roll by default. During her solo, I did enjoy the obvious vocal control she has.

Chisato. I’m glad they’re keeping your hair long. You don’t look like an ugly little boy anymore! You look like a normal young girl, who is getting pretty. In the candid scenes where she is wearing normal clothing, she is very cute and seems very approchable. This seems to be more of her character. And in the part of the PV where she is with Hagitty, she looks into the camera and gives a V Sign, that was great. That’s perfect for this song and for the setting of the pv.

Hagitty…why didn’t your head bobble so much in this PV? Keep doing it. I love that. Her solo in this song was nice too. She’s always had pretty good vocal control for someone so young, so I can’t wait to her her as she gets older and matures. She is obviously the youngest member of the group. I think her over-youthfullness is needed. Since Nakky has the appearance of the youngest, her cold attitude almost doesn’t fit. I’m hoping in the future, as well, she gets more opportunities to sing solo.

Overall, it’s a nice song and PV, but I know C-ute can do better. And I’m confident they will!

All of the songs on this album are super catchy and they all could have been singles, in my opinion.

1. Moonlight night ～Tsukiyo no Ban da yo～

This song is FUCKING AWESOME. At first when I heard, “Electroconvulsive Therapy part 1″ I was like wtf? ITUNES BOUGHT THE WRONG ALBUM FOR ME. And then when the music started I was stunned. I wish there was a PV for this song. This is how every opening for albums should be. This one definitely hyped me up. I thought SONGS from Platinum 9 Disco was good, but this one blows SONGS out of the water. Without really understanding the lyrics, this seems like it would have an awesome dance accompany that is reminiscent to Thriller. Maybe like a Werewolf Aichan and a Zombie Gakisan. Super good start.

2. Kimagure Princess

This song is of course fantastic. It just gives me memories of Gakisan and Junjun shaking those delish bootays. I love this song. And I love the PV that went with it. And the booty shaking. And the dancing. Oh, and the booty shaking.

3. Genki Pika Pika!

When I first read the title of this song, I had super high hopes. And they were completely met. This is the type of song that Momusu should sing. Peppy tunes that could be openings or endings for anime shows. I could totes see a cartoon Risachan dancing with a Pikachu. *swoon* This is one of my favorites from the album.

4. Namidacchi

At first, this song has this really warm feeling balladlike pace. With lovely vocals too. And then it picks up with real heavy percussion and a nice bass line. And then it slows down again, and then picks up again. This song has a great balance between soft and hard. Sort of like the small calm-downs in Joshi Kashi Monogatari(when Kaorin and Konkon parts come up). AND THEN. The rap! YES. YESYESYES. I can’t wait to see this song in concert. And then the singing with just the piano playing at the end. A fantastic end to the song.

5. Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai

I listen to this song every day. I’ve fallen in love with it. It’s fun and and has good pacing. And all the girls are lovely in the PV. EspeciallyNiigakiinthemirrorscenes.

6. Ookii Hitomi

This song has a rock-techno vibe that I loved from the beginning. This is so like W that I think it makes me love it more. There was so much AutoTune that I thought Lil Wayne might make a guest voice appearance on the track(which would be bitchin amirite?). But even though AutoTune is lame, I love how it was used in this song. It’s continuing with the fun feel of the whole album. And I love that the 6th track has the Rokkies haha. They all did fantastic.

7. Ano hi ni Modoritai

Now it slows down with Leader and Subleader Gokkies. This has a real mature feel, perfect for the two in charge. This is a song I could listen to while trying to sleep. Not because it’s boring, but it has such a nice feel to it. There should be a lot more tracks with Ai and Risa together.

8. Nanchatte Renai

Easily one of the best Morning Musume songs EVER. EVER. That’s all I’ll say(which is a lot lol.)

9. Osaka Oshiinen

Haha this song. This song haha. If they don’t have this song in concert, then UFA is retarded. This is definitely a fun live song. All the dialog and all the harmonizing needs to be seen live. NEEDS TO BE SEEN LIVE.

10. Loving you forever

This is a nice balladesque song too. This, after listening to it a bunch of times, sounds like it’d be a great ending song for a concert. It has a nice long solo for Junjun and Linlin. Aika, too. This is also what I envision one or all of the Hachikkies will sing for their graduation.

12. Shouganai Yume Oibito

This is also one of the best Morning Musume songs ever. It’s cover is beautiful too! That’s all I’ll say for this too.

13. Ame no Furuanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? (Chinese ver.)

I remember everything I thought when I first read that this would be on the tracklist for 10 MY ME. they were

• This has been on like 12 albums already right?
• Not all the Musume speak Chinese. Will this be okay?
• IceCreamusume did this already!

I was presently surprised by this version. Junjun and Linlin with the rest of the Momusu do this much better than IceCreamusume. They’re sound is much more involved and the harmonizing is always so pretty with this song. And when they sing this song live it’s very impressive.

So, all in all, if I had to rate this album, I would SERIOUSLY give it 5/5 stars. One of my favorite Morning Musume albums. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who liked Morning Musume.

Mano Erina, H!P’s only active Soloist, will be a special performance guest at AnimeExpo2010. This is a huge deal for Mano, since her seniors Morning Musume were the guests last year and Mano hasn’t had this huge breakout success yet.

Why is Mano getting the attention for this event? I’m starting to wonder if all the bullshit last year was the reason why H!P or UpFrontAgency are not sending one of the other major groups instead. Maybe they’re sending Mano to test out the waters this year, and if things are handled better than last year they’ll send Berryz Koubou or C-ute the year after that. Or hell, even S/mileage.

Maybe Mano will bring S/mileage along? like as the opener? That’d be pretty kickass yo.

I wasn’t able to attend AX last year, but I’m really hoping I can this year so I can support Mano. I’ve become more and more interested in her music ever since Haru no Arashi came out. And even though she’s the worst in Pucchimoni V, she’s still pretty cute. Maybe she’ll sing Otome no Negai at AX?? That’d be fuckin awesome whatwhat.

Of course I took Paul’s Hello!Project poll for 2010. I take them every year, and I constantly reevaluate my answers.

1. Niigaki Risa – I love Niigaki. Of couse she’s my #1. It wouldn’t be Mayuge Beam! if she wasn’t mah fav.
2. Junjun – I have loved JunJun ever since I saw her picture from the magazine reporting to the new Chinese Members.
3. Linlin – This is a surprise for me. I used to really dislike Linlin. But she has really won me over with her beautiful voice and lovely attitude and spirit.
4. Kamei Eri – I can’t get her out of my mind. She has recently become even more beautiful, even if her photobook is creepy.
5. Shimizu Saki – Captain! She has caught my eye recently. She’s a fantastic dancer and a lovely member all around.
6. Sudou Maasa – Ping pong + awesome = Maasa.
7. Tokunaga Chinami – Ever since Very Beauty I’ve liked this girl.
8. Michishige Sayumi – She has become very popular!! I love her wit and her charms.
9. Kumai Yurina – She used to be my favorite Berryz, and I still like her a whole lot.
10. Fukuda Kanon – One of the newest FULL members of H!P, and one of my favorite members already. She is very funny and very personable, and I think that’s an important quality for Idols.
11. Mistui Aika – ??? WHY. Why do I like you more now? WHY?(it’s the dogs from yorosen)
12. Takahashi Ai – She’s one of the best performers and I like her a lot.
13. Hagiwari Mai – BOBBLEHEAD DO YO THANG GURL.
14. Tsugunaga Momoko – Gachinkou de Ikou has really done something to me. And it was in regards to her.
15. Nakajima Saki – Now that she’s getting older and getting more screen time, her personality is starting to shine more. And thusly I like her more.

Here is where I started putting members that I don’t necessarily have a huge fandom for, but I don’t hate.

16. Yajima Maimi – She is a very confident and forward person and I like her enough, but she just doesn’t strike me as much as she did before.
17. Okai Chisato – I miss Athena&Robikerottsu. I liked her better then.
18. Natsuyaki Miyabi – I like her in Buono!..but not so much in Berryz. That hat in Tomodachi? Wtf.
19. Mano Erina – !!! She probably would’ve been much farther down the list, but her more recent singles are really starting to get stuck in my head. I love Haru no Arashi. I’m sure she’ll climb my chart soon.
20. Suzuki Airi – Last Kiss and Buono have brought her this high on the list.
21. Ogawa Saki – I think she’s cute, but I just don’t know enough about her yet. I expect her to escalate as well.
22. Maeda Yuuka – See above.
23. Wada Ayaka – See above the “see above”.

and these are just the whatevers.

24. Tanaka Reina – OSTUKA-STFU.
25. Sugaya Risako – TOO MUCH VIBRATO STFU.

1. Morning Musume – They are and will most likely always be my favorite group within H!P. (not only because Risa’s in it lol)
2. Buono! – I still really enjoy Buono!. They are an excellent group.
3. Guardians 4 – This was a surprise for me. But Party Time! and Going On! are excellent singles and I really enjoy them.
4. S/mileage – Even though almost all of them were outranked by members who are in farther down the list, I like the group itself and I am very happy they are getting to debut.
5. Berryz Koubou – I like them more than C-ute right now, which is weird because it used to be totally opposite.
6. C-ute – I miss Erika. And I miss when all of the girls get solos.
7. Mano Erina – I like her a lot! But she just hasn’t wow’d me as the only H!P soloist. I hope this will change and she’ll step away from the piano and do something more Anime like.

They aren’t even halfway yet! Numerous sources have stated that S/mileage still needs 6k more Smile Pictures in order to ensure their Major Debut in May.

According to a video added to the Up-Front Youtube Channel, Tsunku states that if they can’t meet this goal, then they’re debut will not be “postponed”, but “uncertain”. This would suck major balls!

So. this is the new PV from Berryz new Double A Side single, Otakebi Boy Wao.

I really thought since this was being released after Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda, it would blow me away. But honestly, I’m totally disappointed with the the whole thing.

I heard the lowered voice at first and I was like, “This could be interesting.’ I was wrong. It was just annoying. I enjoyed the song much more when the girls started singing in their regular voice. So the song? I was not impressed. I liked the Wa-o wao parts sorta. But that’s about it.

The dance? Looks untidy and too much akwardness. During the Wa-o wao parts when they kick up their legs, they look weird amirite?

The video has too much green screen. This PV looks like it was rushed together. I was very very disappointed with this.

The outfits are retarded. Pink Camo? This isn’t a highschool pep ralley. This is an Idol Group PV. SERIOUS BUSINESS. (lol)

however, Chinami looked wonderful. I think it’s her natural tan-ness. She’s really growing into a beautiful woman. And Captain too!

And the scene where Risako does that magic and sends water going everywhere. That was looking pretty cool, but then she ruined it with her “I watch you pee” face.

So, all in all, not impressed. I can’t even see to get excited enough to do a full analysis of the PV.

This is my first S/mileage post on MB! I like S/mileage, just because they’re something new and fresh. H!P’s last endeavor is proving to be pretty dull coughMANOERIcough. I liked Shugo Chara Egg, so this is nice too. I liked Ogawa Saki before S/mileage too, especially in the newcomer concert where she sang some good ol’ Pucchimoni with Mitsui and Ariwhonow.

The song is catchy and genki. I like all the “doki doki doki” and “fuu” ing going on here. And there is a good mixup between the solo lines. I feel like I get to hear more of Kanon too, which in the last 3 singles for S/mileage I feel I’ve been missing. I’ve heard and seen the comparisons between her and Kago Ai, and I totes agree. This seems like a song that I’d like live too.

The PV seems like something you’d see W do. It’s very reminiscent of 321 Breaking Out!, with the slowed frames and the white outlining. I like that everything is always moving. Sometimes having a hard time finding where to focus your eyes is a good thing. Keeps things entertaining. I like the random Purikura moments when they snap the photos. The dancing is so cute too! I know that Wota are going to have like a freaking FIELD day with the dance.

Ayaka looks of course very cute. She always does. What’s nice about this PV versus the last one(Suki-chan) is that she doesn’t have these random offputting glances where she sort of stares off in a direction like she’s looking at someone and totally losing the connection with the camera.

Yuuka. Moeyuuka. She’s very moe. I almost can’t get over it. Her voice is a little weird. But I think it fits the image of the group and the songs they release. I know why she was picked to be in High-King. She definitely has Idol quality written all over her. I’m sure she’ll be a fan favorite and surely a girl who continues to be added to subgroups and one-shots.

Kanon!!! I love Kanon. She was the green Amulet Clover/Suu in Shugo Chara Egg, and ever since then, she’s won me over. She has lots of airtime in this PV. She looks quite beautiful in the tight upclose shots. Her big hair is cute and endearing. I love her voice too. It’s a nice singing voice, not even just for an idol. I know we’ll continue to see lovely things in the future for Kanon, and I can’t wait.

Saki is perfect for this group type. She has a very genuine feel, and seems relate able. Sometimes when she sings though, I can’t understand what she’s saying. it’s not as bad as it was in Suki-chan, but all of her words almost melt together. I don’t know if it’s just the positioning in lyrics or if this is what she just sounds like, but whatever.

All in all, loving the single and the group. Also, help out S/mileage with their Smile Campaign, so they can get their major debut in May! Details are on the Hello-Online article~
